Holistic AYM is an extension of the Holistic Health Centre of Greece. Its purpose is to convey the principles of Ayurveda, Yoga and meditation through seminars, interviews and conferences so that their application can enable people to have the right approach to health, wellbeing and way of life.
On a practical level, Holistic AYM organises lectures at the Holistic Health Centre or in other venues, and participates in conferences promoting ideas which strengthen the deeper understanding of health. It also publishes articles and video clips from seminars and organises teleconferences. In essence, it promotes the spread of the principles of Ayurveda, Yoga and meditation in the modern world.
Philosophy and Science
In today’s world, Philosophy and Science seem to be at odds with each other. Philosophy is too theoretical and unrelated to daily life problems, whereas Science focuses more on chemicals and molecules.
This divide makes people choose either material satisfaction alone, which is by nature short-lived, or to have the desire to live in a theoretical, philosophical world, cut-off from the material side of life and its principles.
Holistic AYM aims to help to bridge this gap. The principles of Ayurveda, Yoga and the practice of meditation combine Philosophy and Science with the sole purpose of achieving physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.

Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation
The Holistic AYM explores the principles of Ayurveda, Yoga and meditation in a holistic way. Modern scientific research is combined with one of the most fundamental principles of Ayurveda, the assessment of the constitution of the individual, on both physical and mental levels. At the same time, we refer to both Western and Eastern texts related to the study of Yoga and meditation, which are approached in a scientific way.
The knowledge of our own unique constitution (Prakrti) which includes our physical energies (Dosas: Vata, Pitta, Kapha) and mental energies (Gunas: Sattva, Rajas, Tamas) is taught with great accuracy by the science of Ayurveda. The application of this knowledge in our daily lives is supported by the practice of Yoga. Meditation, which is part of Yoga, helps to enable us to be in touch with our deeper nature.
Planned Activities Holistic AYM
A series of open talks are organised regularly and take place at the Holistic Health Centre in Kifissia. They take place one Saturday per month for 3 months and are open to anyone interested. Attendance is free and, as seats are limited, pre-registration is required.
We also organise five 3-day seminars per year which are dedicated to the discussion of the principles of Ayurveda and to the practice of Yoga and meditation. The practice of Yoga and meditation during the seminars is conducted under careful, individual supervision. The seminars are also free but places are limited and pre-registration is required.
